December 15, 2015 | 0 Comments The Bermuda International Film Festival [BIFF] has announced that tickets for their upcoming screening of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at the Specialty Cinema are selling quickly ahead of the Saturday, December 19 date. BIFF Volunteer Coordinator Jeannie Flath said, “This event is going to be a blast. There is a prize for the best costume. A $300 Ice Watch has been provided courtesy of The Sunglass and Watch Hut on Reid Street. And a champagne reception will set the mood for the first release of Star Wars in an over decade. “It promises to be a night to remember and a great kick-off to the 2016 Bermuda International Film Festival.” ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ trailer: A spokesperson said, “This will be the first Star Wars by Disney. The ninth episode of Star Wars saga continues after defeating the Galactic Empire. Han Solo [Harrison Ford] and his allies face a new threat from the evil Kylo Ren [Adam Driver] and his army of Storm troopers. “The Force Awakens is directed by JJ Abrams, the man who helmed the Star Trek reboot as well as classic TV shows Lost and Alias.” Tickets for the event can be purchased online from Premier Tickets for $35, with the proceeds to benefit the Bermuda International Film Festival Purpose Trust.
