Southport Boats is a recreational boat builder and dealer. Southport Boats starts the building process with a mold inspection, repairing any blemishes, and waxing the surface to allow for a smooth, clean de-molding process when the part is finished. Once the mold maintenance is complete, the first step in building the boat is applying the Gelcoat. The first layer of fiberglass to go into the hull is the Skin Coat, then the bulk of the hull's structure can be laid in place. The infusion process begins and the part is bagged and sealed. Southport Boats also infuses other parts, performs grid installation, does plumbing and wiring, and more.

Sea Tow, Southport Boats Form “Peace of Mind” Partnership Author: Sea Tow Services International and Southport Boats have teamed on a “Peace of Mind” partnership, offering all 2022 Southport models with Sea Tow’s Gold Card that includes two years of coverage. The Sea Tow membership will give new Southport boat owners access to 24/7 nationwide coverage with towing, fuel delivery, jump starts and more. “Most new cars come standard with roadside protection, so it makes sense boats should have on-water coverage,” Kristen Frohnhoefer, president of Sea Tow, said in a statement. Southport builds fishing boats ranging from 27 to 33 feet at its 140,000 sq. ft. production facility in South Gardiner, Maine. “We build boats that give families the confidence to enjoy boating to its fullest,” said Jonathan Kirby, marketing and sales director for Southport. “We feel that teaming up with Sea Tow is an extension of that philosophy. Knowing our customers will be able to make one phone call to receive assistance, should they need it, when they are out on the water will help make the experience more carefree, and that translates to more fun for everyone.”
