Success 21.09.2021 Six startups have won partnerships with leading companies such as Telefonica, BMW, Airbus, Rega, Diamond Denim and Saturn Satellite Networks. They strive to bring better solutions for customers in be it in telecommunications mobility or health rescue service. Haelixa and Diamond Denim Haelixa offers a traceability solution based on DNA. The company works with brands and manufacturers providing a forensic proof for product origin and authenticity from source to retail. In the first joint project with Diamond Denim cotton fibre was marked after bale opening in the Diamond factory in Lahore. The read out, conducted in the Haelixa labs in Switzerland, was done with garment after several household washings as well as with different intermediate products from various production stages. Ali Abdullah, Co-Founder of Diamond Denim by Sapphire, states: “We are very happy with our first industrial application of the Haelixa marker. Once production was completed, we sent blind marked and unmarked samples back to Haelixa and their analysis proved to be 100% accurate! Within our mission to provide a clean and sustainable denim product, physical traceability is a big step forward. Haelixa reinforces our already solid supply chain controls and renders irrefutable proof that our product indeed contains what we declare.” Diamond Denim is part of the renowned Sapphire Group and one of the leading denim mills & garment makers in Pakistan. Astrocast & Telefonica Wayra Germany is bringing Astrocast , and Telefónica together for an IoT product collaboration in its new 5G Tech Lab. Wayra Germany the open innovation hub of the telecommunications group Telefónica whose goal is to identify start-ups that can work with Telefónica´s business units, starting with a pilot project. As part of the collaboration, Astrocast will integrate its’ module and antenna with the Telefónica tracker. Using the Astrocast nanosatellite network, this new product will enable direct-to-satellite, bi-directional communications between trackers in the world’s more remote regions and headquarters. Telefónica customers will be able to collect data and send updates and commands to trackers no matter where they are. In this new collaboration, the Astrocast Astronode S will integrate with Telefónica trackers, enabling customers to track critical IoT assets anywhere in the world. The final proof-of-concept will be showcased in the 5G Tech Lab. Neural Concept & Airbus The Neural Concept - Airbus collaboration aims at making the power of deep learning accessible to design engineers, for real-time simulation and interactive design optimization. Both companies demonstrated an application of their technology to aircraft aerodynamics at the NeurIPS conference in 2019. The goal is now to increase the deployment of new design methodologies, based on Artificial Intelligence techniques. Airbus is aiming at accelerating and improving the engineering of next generation aircraft. Neural Concept developed the first 3D Deep Learning Software dedicated to Computer-Assisted Engineering and Design. The company’s core technology involves 3D convolutional networks that learn to predict the output of physical simulations or experiments based on the input of shape’s geometrical properties. They can be used as complements to the traditional numerical simulation and experimental methods to alleviate the need for actual simulations or experiments along the conception pipeline. SoFlow and BMW renew their partnership Automobile company BMW AG is renewing its partnership with SoFlow to be its competence partner. The Swiss company will use the registered property rights of BMW AG under license to produce a new, compact e-scooter for the automotive group. Dufour Aerospace and Rega Wallis based Dufour Aerospace and Swiss Air-Rescue Rega , the leading Swiss air rescue organization announced development cooperation for the air ambulance version of Aero3, Dufour Aerospace’s new and innovative aircraft for patient transport and emergency medical services. The Aero3 is the first of its kind to feature a tilt-wing design with exceptional space, load, and range for emergency medical services (EMS) and patient transport. This piloted, hybrid aircraft is an extension of the Aero2, a smaller, unmanned version of the aircraft first test flown by Dufour Aerospace in 2020. During product development, Rega will support Dufour Aerospace with know-how on medical and aviation equipment and will advise on operational standards and certification. Dufour Aerospace offers Rega the opportunity to influence the development of the Aero3 at an early stage. SWISSto12 and Saturn Satellite Networks The aim of the partnership between Swissto12 and Saturn Satellite Networks is to build and market GEO telecom missions based on both MicroGEO, ISN, and Nationsat satellites. These missions deliver highly competitive connectivity from GEO orbit based on small and affordable satellites, thereby enabling new application cases for satellite connectivity that complement the offering of larger legacy satellites. SWISSto12 is a leading provider of payload systems for telecommunication satellites based on novel 3D printing technologies and Saturn Satellite Networks is a leading developer of small GEO satellite missions.
