Scott Darling

Scott Darling is President of Dell Technologies Capital. He leads both the corporate development and venture capital teams at Dell. As an active investor, Scott backs silicon, cybersecurity, core enterprise software, and e-commerce/logistics companies. In 2012, Scott established the DTC ventures team in Palo Alto, expanding the team to Boston later that year and then to Israel in 2013. Just prior to DTC, Scott was president of EMC Corporate Development and Ventures. Before that, he was a general partner at Frazier Technology Ventures. Prior to that GP role, he was vice president and managing director at Intel Capital. During his tenure at Intel Capital, he managed the investing teams responsible for supporting the business units that accounted for more than two thirds of Intel’s revenue. Before becoming a venture investor, Scott held operating roles for 20 years at Intel where he was GM for several business units including the Internet Media Services Division and the Personal Conferencing Division, as well as the director of marketing for the OEM Computer Systems Division. And before Intel, he headed up product marketing for high-end systems at Apple Computer. In addition, Scott was an early employee at two pioneering PC industry startups. Scott earned an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1988. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1981, where he studied economics and computer science.
