The product will be available in Walmart and Target stores in early 2015. Email  |  Twitter Snap Infusion , the Andover-based all-natural candy company, recently raised $1.5 million as it expands into two big-box retailers and debuts a new product. Andrea Stoll, CEO of Snap Infusion, said that in late January, the company's products will be available in Target, followed by a launch in the first week of February at Walmart stores. Still said the latest funding came from an angel investor, but declined to disclose any details. Some of those on the company's board include former LivingSocial CFO John Bax and Ted Gage, who previously managed funds for Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. Stoll, who declined to disclose revenue figures, said Snap Infusion currently has eight full-time employees. Its initial product, Supercandy, is made from natural ingredients that contain antioxidants, B vitamins, calcium, electrolytes and Vitamin C. The candies contain no high-fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oils, and are a low-calorie food, according to SNAP Infusion. The five varieties of Supercandy rolled out so far are caramels, citrus gum, gummies, candy beans and tarts. But the company will introduce a new line of candy, Smartcandy, that will include a gummy version. There's also a new product called Froot that will have a real fruit center covered in real yogurt with a hard candy shell coating, Stoll said. "We feel like people should have their cake and eat it to," said Stoll. Both brands will be available at Walmart and Target (the candy is already available in about 20,000 stores, including CVS, Whole Foods, Shaws and Roche Bros.). And it couldn't be a more perfect fit, Stoll said. "People's lifestyles are changing," she said. "It's really filling a genuine need in the market and so the timing is good. " Related links:
