The Lost World Adventure Land has opened at Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya, elevating the family holiday experience at the property.
Nestled against the jungle waterpark at the resort, the latest addition features new rides like the SkyRider aerial course and a choice of two obstacle courses in the air with SkyTrail.
 
There is also an outdoor play area boasting an expansive three-level playground complete with slides, trampolines, raft game with a moving raft, playground tower, and a digging pit for excavating dinosaur bones.
Parents have a designated area to observe as their children play. There are also dedicated playground supervisors to keep the children safe.
In the indoor zone, activities are aplenty to keep the little ones occupied: arts and crafts; a soft-play kids' cinema; wooden toys and giant soft building blocks; and even baking classes at the cooking studio.
There is even a Kids' Café that serves drinks, ice cream and snacks, and the Zulu Family Lounge for guests travelling with children under the age of 15.

Toronto-based light electric vehicle (LEV) company Daymak has announced that it has over $300 million in pre-order commitments across its Avvenire line of various electric vehicles. The Avvenire line includes a wide range of EVs from smaller electric bicycles to a three-wheeled electric car and even a flying vehicle. With a top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h), the company refers to the Spiritus Ultimate as the “fastest three-wheeled electric commuter vehicle on the market.”
The somewhat lower spec’d Spiritus Deluxe has a more muted top speed of 85 mph (137 km/h), which puts it closer in line with other three-wheeled electric vehicles on the market. In the first 30 days of the campaign, the company says it has received over 4,000 pre-orders for the electric three-wheeler. And the staggering $300M in pre-order commitments starts to make sense when considering that the Spiritus Ultimate boasts an MSRP of $149,995. The lighter-duty Deluxe version’s price tag of $19,995 suddenly looks a lot easier to stomach. As Daymak president Aldo Baiocchi explained in a statement provided to Electrek:
“At Daymak, we’re rallying a movement of people who are passionate about tech, the environment, and want something better out of their transportation – faster, cooler, and greener than ever built before – which we believe is a gap that exists in the market today. The market validation that we have received through our commitment campaign is certainly encouraging and we’re tracking to meet our 50,000 pre-order goal for the Spiritus model by July 2021.”

While the Daymak Spiritus is one of the more visually striking members of the Avvenire line, there are several other notable vehicles on the roster as well. The Terra is an all-terrain electric bike that includes interesting built-in tech including solar panels, GPS tracking, and speakers. The bulky bike certainly provides extra real estate for those solar panels, but they are only designed to trickle charge the battery – not to quickly recharge it from nearly empty. Even so, any extra charge that an EV can capture while parked is essentially “free” and helps add to its utility. For commuters who want to bike in the rain, Daymak offers the Foras. The enclosed electric bike has the rider laying on his or her back beneath the canopy. The rider pedals like in a traditional bicycle, yet from a reclined position. The Foras single-passenger light electric vehicle has a range of 200 km (120 miles) and features tech normally reserved for larger vehicles, such as a GPS-based anti-theft alarm and a backup camera. The Daymak Tectus is a fairly unique EV, combining something of a mobility scooter and an ATV into one accessible adventure vehicle. The all-wheel-drive trike is designed to tackle various surfaces and in all weather conditions. The Daymak Aspero is a high-end electric ATV – a market that hasn’t seen  an overabundance of entries so far. Daymak claims the Aspero is “adaptable to multiple terrain types and riding conditions, and perfect for camping, hunting, and wilderness exploring.”
Like several of the other light electric vehicles in the Avvenire line, the Aspero includes solar trickle charging from built-in solar panels. It also sports rear storage, plow/trailer hitch, and a quick charge time of just two hours. With most light electric vehicles charging in between four to eight hours, that’s a fairly fast charge! The most far-out vehicle in the Avvenire line is definitely the Skyrider, which is a personal electric flying vehicle. Daymak hasn’t provided many details regarding the Skyrider, only saying that it “is an elegant and high-performance electric vehicle capable of flying. No traffic, no cars, no pollution. The future flies well.”
While some of the Avvenire vehicles seem fairly doable using today’s tech, the Skyrider definitely pulls in more sci-fi vibes. You can still pre-order any of the Avvenire vehicles with a refundable deposit, so it’s not too late to get in line for a solar-charging e-bike or your own flying saucer! Daymak claims massive $300M in pre-orders for its Avvenire electric vehicle lineup

Toronto-based Daymak is already known for a wide range of light electric vehicles ranging from e-bikes and mobility scooters to light electric motorcycles. But now the company is unveiling a much higher-end product range known as the Avvenire line that will be manufactured locally in Canada. The blacked-out, sleek looking model line features six new vehicles ranging from electric bikes and covered mobility scooters to a personal flying vehicle. As Daymak founder Aldo Baiocchi explained:
At Daymak our goal is to make outstanding clean vehicles that make a positive impact on the environment for today and future generations. We build our vehicles to give freedom of movement that are also a joy to ride. We are excited that we will manufacture our product line here in Canada and create up to 500 new jobs in the Cleantech industry with the launch of Daymak Avvenire. This will redefine what it means to travel using light electric vehicles. The technology we are designing will incorporate solar power to our fully enclosed vehicle line for an efficient, comfortable and eco-friendly alternative to traditional carbon emitting vehicles right at our doorstep. The Daymak Foras is an enclosed recumbent electric bike. The rider lays on his or her back under the canopy and pedals like a traditional bicycle, yet from a reclined position. The single-passenger light electric vehicle has a range of 200 km (120 miles) and features tech normally reserved for larger vehicles, such as a GPS-based anti-theft alarm and a back up camera. The Daymak Tectus is an all-wheel-drive (read: three-wheel-drive since it is a tricycle) mobility e-scooter designed to tackle various surfaces and in all weather conditions. Like the Terra e-bike, the Tectus includes built-in solar panels to trickle charge the batteries. It also adds rear storage, a back up camera and sports a range of up to 160 km (100 miles). Daymak even claims that it will include optional autonomous driving features. That sounds great, but a self-driving mobility scooter? I’ll believe it when I see it. Aspero
The Daymak Aspero is a high-end electric ATV – a market that hasn’t seen an overabundance of entries so far. Daymak claims the Aspero is “adaptable to multiple terrain types and riding conditions, and perfect for camping, hunting, and wilderness exploring.”

The Daymak Spiritus is a two-seater electric car with a tadpole trike format, similar in layout to other three-wheeled EVs such as the Arcimoto FUV and the Electra Meccanica SOLO. Unlike the others though, Daymak claims the Spiritus will be the “fastest three-wheeled car in the world” with a 0-60 time of 1.8 seconds. They conveniently left units off of that figure. I’ll assume it’s 0-60 km/h, since if that was mph it would be Tesla Roadster quick. In another apparent ode to Tesla, Daymak also claims the Spiritus will feature “optional auto-pilot”. The Daymak Avvenire Spiritus – A 3-wheeled two seater car. Other features include solar trickle-charging, WiFi connection, air conditioning and a full entertainment system. As if the previous five electric vehicles weren’t interesting enough, Daymak pulled out all the stops with the Skyrider, a personal electric flying device. They don’t tell us much, only that “SKYRIDER is an elegant and high-performance electric vehicle capable of flying. No traffic, no cars, no pollution. The future flies well.”
So we’ll have to use our imagination when it comes to specs. All six Avvenire line vehicles are available for pre-order now with a $100 deposit . When will we be flying around in our own Skyriders, though? That remains to be seen. Electrek’s Take
I mean, they’re all pretty cool, and Daymak has a long reputation in the industry dating back to 2002. But it’s easy to make things seem cool when they don’t actually exist. These are all renders. Anyone can slap on solar panels at this point. I can just imagine the design meetings. “Ooh, add auto-pilot! And an entertainment system! Hey, can one of them fly too? !”
So yeah, this sounds awesome. I’m all for Canadian manufacturing of some awesome electric vehicles. But let’s also be realistic here. At the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2019 in Germany, Italian seat manufacturer Aviointeriors unveiled a new chair design that would put airplane passengers in a near-standing position. The concept would allow airlines to offer another option called "ultra-basic economy,” the company said. The latest version of the company’s Skyrider “standing seat” looks similar to a bicycle seat and requires a passenger to straddle the middle section while leaning against a back support. “Skyrider is concept foundation of new way to travel in the short-haul routes,” the company said on its website . “Innovation is driving Aviointeriors in developing a new concept of a family of economy seats.”
‘Ultra-high density’ of people
Aviointeriors says its Skyrider standing seats may appeal to airlines eyeing different ways of fitting more passengers into cabins on flights shorter than three hours. With the seats installed, airplane cabins would be able to fit in 20 percent more passengers in the same amount of space. The manufacturer explained that the seats would allow for an “ultra-high density” of passengers in the cabin because each seat “ensures an increased upright passenger position, allowing installation of the seat at a reduced pitch.”
Additionally, the newest version of the Skyrider seat “weighs 50% less than standard economy class seats and the reduced number of components enable minimum maintenance costs,” Aviointeriors said. So far, no airline has expressed interest in testing Aviointeriors’ standing seats. The unveiling of the latest iteration of the company’s standing seats comes just a few weeks after Delta revealed that it’s testing reduced-recline seats in its A320 aircraft cabins. Delta insists the move is intended to increase legroom and improve the customer experience for everyone, not cram more seats into the economy cabin. “It’s all about protecting customers’ personal space and minimizing disruptions to multitasking in-flight.” Savannah Huddleston, a company spokeswoman, said in a statement. Plane seat manufacturer unveils ‘saddle-style’ seats for cabins

But give Delta this much credit: At least they're still providing seats. A glimpse of how bad things really could get was provided the other day at the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2019 trade show in Hamburg, Germany. The event featured plenty of innovations intended to make air travel more comfortable for those who can afford top-dollar trimmings, including first-class and business-class seats with lots of amenities. And then there was the Italian seat manufacturer Aviointeriors, which displayed the latest iteration of its Skyrider "standing seat." It's an idea that the company unveiled about a decade ago and keeps refining to make it more appealing to airlines. Imagine a bicycle seat with a lightly padded, upright piece of plastic to lean against. That's pretty much the Skyrider, which Aviointeriors is hoping will be the hot ticket for carriers looking to cram even more seats into economy-class cabins, particularly for shorter flights. "Skyrider is concept foundation of new way to travel in the short-haul routes," the company declares in passable English on its website. "Innovation is driving Aviointeriors in developing a new concept of a family of economy seats." I reached out to Aviointeriors by email to see what kind of interest airlines have shown to the Skyrider and whether any orders have been received. I didn't get a response. But considering that Aviointeriors has been steadily tweaking the design to meet carrier and regulatory requirements, I'm figuring they're serious about getting this product into the aviation marketplace. Which makes me comfortable - and that's not a word that otherwise applies to this column - in believing it's just a matter of time before we start seeing, if not the Skyrider, then some other variation on a bare-bones, torture-chamber apparatus that will be passed off as a boon to budget-minded passengers. "I have no doubt at all," agreed Kate Hanni, founder of FlyersRights.org , an advocacy group. "If the airlines can get away with shoving more seats onto a flight, they'll do it." As for Skyrider seats, she said, "there has to be interest" among airlines. "There's no way they're not interested in something like this." In Delta's case, the airline is testing reduced-recline seats on its entire A320 fleet. The idea, Delta insists, isn't to squeeze more seats into the economy cabin. "It's all about protecting customers' personal space and minimizing disruptions to multitasking in-flight." Savannah Huddleston, a company spokeswoman, said in a statement. What she means by that positive-sounding sentiment is that by restricting how far seats can lean back, you're protecting what little space each person has, so passengers can type on a laptop, or read a book, and not have the seat in front of them touching their chin. Huddleston said limiting how far seats can go back is part of Delta's "continued efforts to make the in-flight experience more enjoyable." This is what it's come to: Making everyone largely immobile so as not to infringe on what little room each passenger is given. That's the new definition of "more enjoyable" air travel. When discussing airline seats, it's all about "pitch." That's the distance from a point on one seat to the same point on the seat before it. This is what defines not just the space in front of your torso but also how much (or little) legroom you're allotted. Many carriers strive for an economy-class seat pitch of 29 to 32 inches. The pitch of the Skyrider is - wait for it - 23 inches. Marcia Alexander-Adams, a spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration, told me she couldn't comment on specific seat designs. "But in general," she said, "any seat design must meet the applicable FAA certification regulations." Those regulations include a number of safety-related standards, such as seats being designed "so that a person making proper use of these facilities will not suffer serious injury in an emergency landing," and so there will be no "injurious object within striking radius of the head." What the regulations don't include is any minimums for seat size or pitch - no requirement that a seat be wide enough to accommodate an ordinary human, no requirement for enough legroom to prevent acts of contortion. In other words, airline seats can be as existentially challenging as a carrier wants, depending on its levels of greed and sadism. As best as I can tell, they don't even have to be seats, which is good news for Aviointeriors and its Skyrider bicycle saddles. The regs refer to "berths," which introduces an element of ambiguity to the definition of what you'll be strapped to. At the Hamburg expo, Aviointeriors also was promoting what it calls its ESP seats, as in "economy slim platform." These are more like traditional seats in that they have, you know, actual seats. But otherwise they're about as minimalist an experience as you can imagine. Aviointeriors says online that the ESP seats meet the "best space exploitation international standards," which is a fancy way of saying, "Here's how you can really pack 'em in." Yet, incredibly, these aren't the worst seating arrangements under consideration. Conde Nast Traveler recently rounded up patents filed for truly grisly airline experiences. These include:
_A proposal from Airbus, the European aviation powerhouse, for a bike saddle-style contraption that looks more like playground equipment than an airline seat. The patent acknowledges that even though this setup accommodates more people, "this increase in the number of seats is achieved to the detriment of the comfort of the passengers." _Another idea from Airbus that stacks passengers bunk-bed-style - bottom seats and top seats. This has the virtue of allowing you to get twice as many people into roughly the same amount of space. _And my particular favorite from Zodiac Seats France, boasting a hexagonal design that alternates forward-facing seats with rear-facing seats, thus creating, perhaps deliberately, the precise sensation of a can of sardines. Delta, by comparison, deserves a prize for humanitarianism. As for the FAA - seriously, guys? Make a seat-size rule already and put an end to this madness. Otherwise, Skyriders for you all. ___
