Connecticut-Based Connectivity Solutions Company Purchases Harsh Environment Cable Reel Manufacturer NAUGATUCK, CT--(Marketwired - January 10, 2014) - STRAN Technologies announced it has acquired SHANE INDUSTRIES, a leading manufacturer of cable reels. The defense, telecommunication, and broadcast sectors are some of many that rely on the tried and tested design of Shane reels. The acquisition will combine Shane Industries' well established cable reel design and manufacturing operations with STRAN Technologies' expertise in fiber optic and copper cable assembly design and production. STRAN's product line is now augmented with a wide range of robust, customizable cable reels for dependable use and long life in demanding applications. Shane metal reels are known for performance and reliability in harsh environments such as high and low temperature applications. Custom fiber optic, copper, and hybrid connector-equipped cable assemblies can now be supplied to order on rugged cable reels to suit nearly any purpose.
