iTWire Monday, 13 April 2020 14:49 Selerity delivers SAS analytics for small businesses 0 Selerity founder and managing director Michael Dixon SAS reseller and services provider Selerity has, in combination with SAS, introduced Selerity BA – Analytics for Everyone Powered by SAS, a range of bundled business analytics solutions for smaller organisations that want world-class business analytics capabilities. "Every organisation has data that can be mined for insights but at the smaller end of the market many would-be users of business analytics have not had the technical resources to get started, or have been deterred by cost. They may have tried open source but SAS has been out of their reach," said Selerity founder and managing director Michael Dixon. "With Selerity BA, however, we remove those barriers by offering a range of scalable packages that make it easy for companies to replace their spreadsheet and desktop systems, and jump straight into sophisticated analytics starting from just US$785 per month. This includes the first user license, while additional users can be added for only US$165 per month per user." Selerity BA is based on the SAS Viya platform and comes in four sizes: programming only, small (up to five users), medium (up to 10), and large (up to 15). Customers can choose where the software runs: in Selerity's Microsoft Azure or Amazon cloud, on the customer's premises, or in a public cloud nominated by the customer. SAS's involvement was managed by SAS ANZ director of alliance and channel Dermot McCutcheon. "In addition to the analytics software itself, this includes daily back-up; systems administration and support via the Selerity help desk, and VA, text and data preparation," he said. "Very importantly, it also includes the data accessing engines, so that it doesn't matter where the data lies, users will always get fast and unfettered access to it." Selerity is SAS's 2020 partner of the year for ANZ. Its range of SAS-related services have attracted clients including Bupa Australia, University of New South Wales, and Melbourne Business School.
