Sloan Security Group Named ENR Mountain States 2021 Specialty Contractor of the Year

The firm’s services include security design consulting, access control points, intrusion detection systems, perimeter fencing/gates, crash-rated barriers, barrier maintenance and cameras/sensors. Sloan recently expanded its offerings to feature control systems, including a proprietary digital/analog control panel. Sloan is expanding its surveillance system line-up with the use of compact surveillance radar to direct cameras, which gives contractors a single point of contact for complex security construction projects. The firm has worked in more than 30 states and served several U.S. embassies, including the ones in Papua New Guinea and Saudi Arabia, but it recently has been focused on growing its Utah and Colorado divisions. Sloan’s key projects underway across the Mountain States region include: Idaho Power Threat & Vulnerability Security Fencing. $13,057,815. The project includes installation of fencing, gates and barriers at four different Idaho Power switchyards and substations. Utah State Prison. $10,363,153. The project includes installation of fencing, gates, barriers and other perimeter structures to enclose the prison. Sloan is manufacturing the gates in Idaho and installing them in Utah. FE Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming. $2,676,534. The work includes installation of fencing and barriers at a high-security federal military base. Denver Mint. $1,225,000. Work includes installation of crash-rated bollards to protect the federal building from vehicular threats. The company’s other recent initiatives, community service and awards include: Made the ENR Top 600 contractor list in 2019 and 2020 Winner of Idaho’s Innovative Company of the Year in 2019 (first contractor to be so recognized) Winner of Best Places to Work in Idaho in 2019, 2020 and 2021 Active in Idaho community service, including multiple charities, particularly providing and installing security equipment at Boise’s Women and Children’s Shelter.
