About Scorpio Communications

Scorpio - Communications designed, developed and marketed the industry's most fault-tolerant and scaleable ATM switches for mission-critical LAN and WAN applications. Designed from the component level on up, Scorpio's family of Stinger ATM switches features a uniform, modular architecture built on common building blocks. By taking this approach, Scorpio was able to develop a family of ATM switches based on a switch fabric that provides N+1 self-healing redundancy, greater scaleability and a true non blocking switching capability that guarantees consistently high performance under different network conditions. The company's offices in New York and San Jose, California are easily accessible to all North American customers. To provide its customers with the highest level of direct technical assistance, each location has its own technical support staff. European customers are serviced from the Israeli office - Scorpio's R&D center. Scorpio is expanding sales and support staff in both New York and California and is making the Stinger family of switches available through selected VARs and Integrators in North America and Europe. Scorpio's switches are also sold on an OEM basis to major network vendors who use the company's products and technology as a way of accelerating time to market.
