Ashraful Islam, Chapainawabganj District Representative :: Bangladesh Atomic Agriculture Research Institute (BINA) has conducted a field day on Bina Sarisha-9 in farmer’s field at Saguna village of Chapainawabganj Nachol police station at 11 am of Bina sub center Rabi for cultivation and expansion of short life, high yield rabi crop developed by Bangladesh Atomic Agriculture Research Institute (BINA). Organized by Bina sub-centre, Chapainawabganj and with the cooperation of Directorate of Agricultural Extension, the chief guest was the internationally renowned nuclear agricultural scientist and director general of Bangladesh Atomic Agriculture Research Institute (BINA) Dr. Mirza Mofazzal Islam. Officer-in-charge of Chapainawabganj without sub-centre. Ahmed Numeri Ashfaqul Haq chaired the program as a special guest (virtually) was Director (Research) and Chief Scientific Officer of Bangladesh Atomic Agriculture Research Institute. Md. Abdul Malek, Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension Department of Chapainawabganj District. Palash Sarkar, Nachol Upazila Agriculture Officer Mr. Bulbul Ahmed. Bina sub-centre, Chapainawabganj scientific officer Md. Zubair Al Islam’s presentation highlighted the utility of short life span, high yielding rabi crop Bina Sarisha-9. Speakers said cultivation of Mustard-9 would be fruitful in order to increase crop concentration i.e. to cultivate multiple crops in the land in a year and to meet the oil demand of the country.
