share We noticed that companies have been bringing back their summer intern programs, so we decided that it was time for us to bring back our annual summer internship slideshow ! Check out what the interns are up to this summer at Klaviyo, Vestmark, Rue Gilt Groupe, Hudl, Cambridge Mobile Telematics, Formlabs, Pluralsight, Veeva Systems, ButcherBox, Advisor360, Bamboo Health, CarGurus, & Lakeside Software. Klaviyo interns work on projects that directly impact our customers. We're already halfway through the summer and some of their work has already shipped! Interns receive a robust one and a half week onboarding called Base Camp where they learn about all things Klaviyo, our engineering teams and get time to bond as a cohort all before joining their team. We then continue the fun throughout the summer with a trip to the Red Sox game, volunteering, a Duck Boat tour, ping pong at SPIN, mentor dinners, leadership speaker series and more! They're not all Sox fans, but Klaviyo interns were all smiles at Fenway. Sydney Gilison, Legal Intern Reporting to SVP & General Counsel, Carrie Moser @ Lakeside Software: “During my time as a legal intern at Lakeside, I have been able to learn so much about working in-house at a tech company and the law! I have been able to work directly with our General Counsel, Carrie, who has given me amazing opportunities and guidance. For example, I have been able to get hands on experience with GDPR compliance, contract review, and transactional drafting. I have also been able to research developing issues in artificial intelligence, specifically safe and effective ways for Lakesiders to use new AI tools to their advantage while mitigating risks to the business. Additionally, I have been working to protect our intellectual property, assisting in starting the process of filing trademarks and protecting the ones we already have. This experience has been so different than other internships I've had where I've learned one or two tasks and did those all day. At Lakeside, every day looks different for me and it's very exciting to learn all the different aspects of being an in-house attorney!” Lakeside Interns 1/2 Sydney Gilison, Legal Intern Reporting to SVP & General Counsel, Carrie Moser @ Lakeside Software: “During my time as a legal intern at Lakeside, I have been able to learn so much about working in-house at a tech company and the law! My internship consists of a three-part rotation among the Talent Acquisition, Core People, and Finance teams. I just recently finished the Talent Acquisition rotation under the supervision of Alexandra Linares, where I was introduced to all of the behind-the-scenes actions that go into sourcing, recruiting, and more. It amazed me to learn just how many different steps make up the process of talent acquisition, and I feel I’ve gained invaluable insight into that side of the business. As I progress through my rotation with the Core People team, I’m excited to gain exposure to even more new aspects of supporting the business through its most valuable asset: the people! The culture at Lakeside has made me feel valued, important, and a real part of the team—which is all I can ask for.” Simon Sloan, G&A Intern, Reporting to various leaders across Lakeside’s G&A function: “During my time at Lakeside, I’ve met so many passionate and dedicated individuals who go above and beyond to make everything at Lakeside run as smooth as possible.
