RxVantage Continues Rapid Growth with Acquisition of Competitor RepAccess On Heels of Recent Acquisition and Integration of RxAssist, Leading Cloud-Based Technology Platform Increases its Medical Office and Pharma Rep User Base with Newest Purchase June 06, 2013 07:01 AM Eastern Daylight Time LOS ANGELES--( BUSINESS WIRE )-- RxVantage , a cloud-based technology platform that enables physicians' practices to streamline and improve their relationships with pharmaceutical and other medical sales representatives, today announced the acquisition of regional industry competitor RepAccess. RepAccess is an online appointment scheduling service, and hundreds of its current medical office users and pharmaceutical representatives will now be using RxVantage’s online scheduling platform, which features tools that create efficiencies for both the office and the sales reps that call on the office. This acquisition comes just one month from the integration of RxAssist into the RxVantage system, and only six months since the increase in customer base from competitor RepConnect, which shut its doors. “RepAccess did a terrific job developing its business in the Midwest, and we are thrilled to be introducing their physicians’ practices to our platform,” said Daniel Gilman, co-founder and president of RxVantage. “Our advanced technology offers everything medical offices and pharmaceutical reps need to effectively communicate and work with one another – all in a single centralized online location. We continue to add to our already robust list of efficiency tools with the goal of helping our users navigate and adapt to this ever-changing industry.” RxVantage’s online scheduling system streamlines the scheduling process for pharmaceutical and other medical sales representatives and saves medical practices an average of 18 hours per month at no cost. Its comprehensive range of efficiency tools for medical offices includes the ability to easily request samples and better communicate with medical representatives. Through its recent RxAssist acquisition and integration, the platform also contains a patient savings center module with an up-to-date directory of patient assistance programs and drug coupon database. “The timing for the company expansion is ideal as more physicians are searching for ways to ensure they maintain valued relationships with trusted representatives in a changing healthcare marketplace,” noted Gilman. “The uncertainties surrounding the Sunshine Act in particular, which promotes greater transparency between providers and pharma, is causing physicians to seek out new and better ways to interact with trusted pharmaceutical reps - and that is where the RxVantage physician practice footprint comes in.” About RxVantage RxVantage is a cloud-based technology platform that enables physicians' practices to streamline and improve their relationships with pharmaceutical and other medical sales reps. Provided at no-cost, RxVantage enables busy medical practices to communicate their "rules of engagement" to pharmaceutical representatives and others that call on them to deliver education and samples, saving practices an average 18 hours of administrative staff time per month. The platform includes a rules-based rep scheduling application and a suite of software tools designed to make requesting samples and communicating with medical reps markedly more efficient. Powered by RxAssist (acquired by RxVantage in 2012), the technology also features an up-to-date, centralized directory of patient assistance programs and a comprehensive drug coupon database, which greatly simplifies the practices' task of researching prescription medication information on behalf of its patients. RxVantage is based in Los Angeles, and its primary funding comes from the Slater Technology Fund and Javelin Venture Partners. For more information, visit www.rxvantage.com or call 866-464-2157.
