Meanwhile, renting/borrowing platform Rentomo has received $100k seed funding from angel investors. The firm, which started operations almost six month ago, plans to use the capital for its second phase of expansion and creation of a specialised marketplace dedicated to luxury perfumes. The startup was founded in August 2015, by Mohit Khatri, Tushar Patel and Shaurya Kiran, while its website was launched last month. Perfumery, which provides specialised sampling services for high end luxury fragrances, claims to have grossed sales of over Rs 4 lakh. “The Phase 2 of Perfumery’s expansion will be focused on ‘Designer’ where other online sellers will be allowed to register their listings of fragrances. To ensure uniformity in price, we ensure one product is sold by one seller and therefore no price war,” Mohit Khatri, founder of Perfumery said. Angel investors pump $100K  seed funding into Rentomo Bengaluru-based Rentomo has raised a seed funding of $100K from angel investor Shiva Ashok and a UAE-based investor, the company said, in a statement Rentomo is a platform for users to borrow/rent regular items from each other, through its website or app. The startup launched the public beta version in August 2015, an recently launched its android mobile app. The company claims to have got over 4,000 verified registered users, more than 300 listings, and closed around 250 transactions, so far. It plans to touch a user base to 10,000 in next three months and 2,500 items listed on the platform. It also plans to add payment, delivery and insurance of items soon.
