The Ravens’ star tight end is active for Sunday’s Week 2 game at the Cincinnati Bengals after missing the season opener with a quadriceps injury. Advertisement Andrews, who was listed as questionable for the second straight week, was limited in five straight practices before being a full participant Friday. His return comes as the Ravens deal with a slew of early season injuries, as left tackle Ronnie Stanley (knee), center Tyler Linderbaum (ankle) and safety Marcus Williams (pectoral) exited in last Sunday’s 25-9 win over the Houston Texans and will not play this week. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey, a three-time Pro Bowl selection who had foot surgery Aug. 16, is inactive for the second straight game. Cornerback Arthur Maulet and tight end Charlie Kolar are also inactive, while Tyler Huntley will be the emergency third quarterback for the second straight week as 37-year-old veteran Josh Johnson backs up Lamar Jackson. Advertisement Cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis, who was scratched for the season opener; running back Melvin Gordon III; and center Sam Mustipher are active. Gordon and Mustipher were elevated from the practice squad Saturday, with Mustipher expected to start for Linderbaum. Offensive linemen Ben Cleveland and Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu will also make their season debuts. Andrews, a three-time Pro Bowl selection and 2021 All-Pro, has been the Ravens’ leading receiver in three of the past four seasons. The 28-year-old has missed just six games since being drafted in 2018. In his absence against Houston, backup tight ends Isaiah Likely and Kolar combined for just one catch for 4 yards on two targets as Jackson was held to 169 passing yards with no touchdowns and an interception. Rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers (nine catches for 78 yards) was the team’s leading pass-catcher. For Cincinnati, defensive end Joseph Ossai (ankle) and running back Chris Evans (hamstring) are inactive after being limited in practice this week. Linebacker Markus Bailey, who was questionable with a knee injury, will play, as will safety Dax Hill (hand), linebacker Logan Wilson (ankle) and defensive end Cam Sample (ankle). Cornerback DJ Ivey, center Trey Hill and offensive tackle Jackson Carman are inactive. Quarterback Joe Burrow was a full participant in practice this week as he recovers from a calf strain suffered early in training camp. Advertisement
