(Yicai Global) Feb. 18 -- Raise3D, a Chinese three-dimensional printing device maker, has secured CNY100 million (USD15.8 million) in its latest financing round. The Series C fundraiser was led by GP Capital-backed Shanghai Jinpu Intelligent Technology Investment Management, the Shanghai-based company announced today. Chuangyu Investment Management and existing investors Xiamen C&D Emerging Industry Equity Investment and Shanghai Blue Lake Capital Consulting also took part. The proceeds will be used to improve the production scale and research and development abilities, invest in new technological and engineering applications, expand the product portfolio, enlarge the company’s production base in Suzhou, and set up a new R&D center in the city of Wuhan, Raise3D added. This round will promote Raise3D’s continuous investments in the research and development of 3D printing of metals, ceramics, and fiber-reinforced composite materials to provide the reproducibility the industrialized production needs and empower smart industrial manufacturing, founder and Chief Executive Feng Hua said. Founded in 2015, Raise3D is committed to providing 3D printing pieces of equipment and solutions for advanced manufacturers around the world. It sold almost 10,000 devices last year, according to data it disclosed. The company has offices also in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, and California, in the US. Raise3D closed a Series B+ round led by Blue Lake Capital Consulting worth tens of millions of yuan last May, according to the firm’s Chinese website.
