Posted by: Natasha Starkell Tags: altair capital , qwenty Posted date: September 18, 2013 | No comment Share This Russian SailPlay raises funding from Altair Capital to improve customer loyalty February 4, 2013 Igor Ryabenkiy , founder of Altair Capital , has invested $300K (225K Euro) in Qwenty , an app from Dmitry Trachuk , the creator of the MDK community on Vkontakte . It is reported that Ryabenkiy will take a 35% share in the company, which intends to release the apps in Moscow within a week and throughout CIS next year. Geared primarily at students, the app will offer users a list of vacancies based on their proximity to the user’s home. Presumably Trachuk knows a bit about marketing to students, as his community in Vkontakte targets younger generation, and has nearly 3 million followers. Within the app, as seen in screenshots on the company’s site, users will be able to filter positions by position, scheduled-hours, location, and wage. As Trachuk stated in an interview from earlier this year, they are mainly interested in offering vacancies for restaurants, retail, mobile-telephone shops, entry-level positions at offices, banks, and automobile services. He goes on to say that the service will be monetized by requiring the user to select a subscription plan after the initial month-long trial period.
