Dennis B. Phelps joined IVP in October 2001 and has 22 years of experience in technology-related finance. He focuses primarily on growth capital investments in software, Internet, mobile, and digital media companies, as well as select public market opportunities. Dennis was recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of the top 100 venture capitalists in the world by his inclusion in the 2018, 2017, 2015, and 2009 Forbes Midas List. He also was recognized by AlwaysOn as one of the top 100 venture capitalists by his inclusion in the AlwaysOn 2009 VC 100 List. Dennis led IVP's investments in Advent Software (ADVS), Casper, Chordiant Software (CHRD), DoubleVerify, Dropcam (GOOG), Giphy, GroundTruth, The Honest Company, Klout, LifeLock (LOCK), POPSUGAR, Quigo (TWX), Shazam, Snap (SNAP), SoundCloud, SuccessFactors (SFSF), SupportSoft (SPRT), Synchronoss Technologies (SNCR), Voxer, Yext (YEXT), Yodlee (YDLE), and ZEFR, and he has been actively involved with the firm's investments in Buddy Media (CRM), Business.com (DEXO), HomeAway (AWAY), Indiegogo, Kayak (PCLN), Marketo (MKTO), Mobile 365 (SAP), MySQL (ORCL), Personal Capital, and Twitter (TWTR). Dennis earned a B.A. with honors in Government & Economics from Dartmouth College.
