(ANTARA PHOTOS/Fathur Rochman/my) All SOEs must place clients as a vocal point or main consideration in every business decision Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir urged all state-owned enterprises to accord priority to clients in all business decisions. "All SOEs must place clients as a vocal point or main consideration in every business decision," the minister noted in his remarks via a video played at the Telkom CX Summit 2022 event on Wednesday. Thohir deemed this step as important since customer loyalty determined whether a business, including SOEs, would run accordingly in a sustainable manner. The COVID-19 pandemic had brought about changes to the people's lifestyles, thereby leaving companies with no choice but to adjust quickly. The minister noted that companies that were able to offer effective and efficient solutions and accessibility as well as could build trust with the clients tend to survive better in the midst of rampant post-disruption competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thohir remarked that a strong work culture and progressive characterization could be the foundation for SOEs in making business decisions with customer experience as the basis. The minister also urged SOEs to draw inspiration from customers in innovating and adapting, so that the business would not solely be focused on competition but also on customer satisfaction through implementation of a paradigm and improvement of SOEs' talents. "I am optimistic that Indonesia would be able to realize its vision as a service country in 2045, with companies that have global competitiveness and global benchmarking," Thohir remarked. He also urged the Telkom Group to pursue these goals by placing clients as a source of inspiration from various forms of adaptation and company innovation. "Hopefully, the Telkom Customer Experience (CX) Summit agenda this year would run smoothly and productively," he concluded.
