The deal for the 11-agent Prudential office is the latest in a series of acquisitions by Edina Realty and its parent, HomeServices of America . HomeServices is, in turn, owned by Warren Buffett 's Berkshire Hathaway . Other recent HomeServices deals include the acquisition of Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors, which expanded the business into the mid-Atlantic region, and Guarantee Real Estate, one of Central California's largest brokerages. They've been run as "bolt-on" acquisitions operating under the HomeServices business run by CEO Ron Peltier .
