Fetch Rewards Hires former PromoWorks CEO Michael Kent as President and COO May 18, 2016 06:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time MADISON, Wis.--( BUSINESS WIRE )--On the tails of being named a top 25 Food Industry Disruptor by Supermarket News, Fetch Rewards is keeping momentum by announcing a number of new key hires, including Michael Kent as President and COO. Kent will be heading up Operations and Business Development alongside CEO Wes Schroll. “We were searching for a perfect fit to step in as President and COO to lead our growth, and we’ve found that with Mike,” says Schroll. “His deep knowledge of grocery combined with his experience scaling early-growth companies is crucial for Fetch.” As CEO of PromoWorks, Kent led their growth from start-up to industry leader, building a team of over 600 full-time and 20,000 part-time employees. Today, Kent sees the mobile shopping solution that Fetch offers as the single biggest opportunity to help grocers compete with the big-box chains and online retailers. “The big retailers have spent millions developing their own mobile shopping platforms, and are in the process of rolling these out nationally,” states Kent. “Being able to scan your items as you shop, apply digital savings while keeping a running total, and expedite check out with the use of a single bar code is similar to how it works online. By bringing the benefits of online shopping into the aisles, stores give shoppers a better experience. That’s what excites me most about joining Fetch.” Fetch has also hired Alan Jones and Steve Phillips as Senior Vice Presidents of Business Development, focused on expanding Fetch’s retail footprint. Jones has made significant contributions to companies such as Glaxo SmithKline, In-Store Advertising, and Insignia Systems where he grew their retail base from 500 stores to over 12,000. Phillips brings experience from Acme Markets, Blackhawk Marketing, Inmar, and PromoWorks where he managed a $40M book of business. About Fetch Fetch offers grocery retailers a third-party mobile shopping solution, that allows shoppers to use their smart phones to scan items as they shop, track their spend, apply instant digital savings, and conveniently check out with the use of a single barcode. Shoppers can also manage their meal planning with recipe inspirations, shopping lists, and customized health and nutrition information. Contacts
