Renegades qualify for ESL Pro League Season 14

Jun 29, 2021

Renegades have secured a spot at ESL Pro League Season 14 just days after winning ESEA Premier Season 37 Australia. They did so by defeating ORDER , the winners of the previous ESEA Premier season, in a one-match best-of-five playoff. The well-deserved victory comes at a moment of high form for Renegades , who ended their ESEA Premier run with a 7-1 record in the group stage before crushing all opposition in the playoffs, including ORDER , without dropping a map in four matches. Jordan “Hatz” Bajic ended up the highest-rated player in the playoff series, averaging a 1.42 rating and 93.1 ADR in the four maps played. He was closely followed by INS , who had a lower rating of 1.34, but a slightly higher ADR, 93.8. For ORDER , it was the 16-year-old Declan “Vexite” Portelli who showed huge potential, powering his team to victory on Vertigo and ending the series with a 1.16 rating and 87.8 ADR. Renegades booked their ticket to Malta for ESL Pro League Season 14 The final playoff match between the two ESEA Premier champions started off on ORDER ’s first map pick, Dust2, but Ricardo “Rickeh” Mulholland and company weren’t able to get in the game early on and Renegades took an invaluable lead in the series by securing the map 16-6. Vexite then played an incredible Vertigo, finishing the map with 36 kills, as ORDER evened things up after a 16-13 victory. From there on out Renegades dominated, taking ORDER ’s second map pick, Mirage, with a strong defense to kick things off before sealing the deal on the T-side, 16-8. Simon “Sico” Williams and company then settled in on Inferno, easing to victory without giving ORDER a chance to hit double digits for the third and final time in the series, once again by a 16-8 scoreline. Renegades , who played ESL Pro League Season 13 shortly after signing Alistair “aliStair” Johnston to take over the vacancy on the roster left by Christopher “dexter” Nong , will now have a shot at bettering the 17-20th place they achieved in ESL’s flagship league the last time around. Before that, the Australian squad will have a go at qualifying for IEM Cologne in the play-in tournament, where they are scheduled to face Vitality in their July 6 opening match. Summer is starting to heat up the nation and what better way to have a summer camp horror story than to have it in Fortnite , these are a few among the many Fortnite horror maps in Creative mode. These maps offer some of the better maps to play that aren’t completely filled with jump scares and offer subpar gameplay. That said, Fortnite does have its limitations to create a proper horror story, but these maps were created by players that made lemonade with lemons. A murder mystery is always a fun way to mysteriously kill loved ones – in a game setting of course. The Bush Murder Mystery by popular Fortnite YouTuber, SSundee, is both thrilling as it is hilarious to play with other people. There are no jump scares in this mode, though murdering others in Fortnite unsuspectingly can prove to be just as scary as any other game. Code: 2015-8357-2340 Theming it with the latest of Fortnite’s alien-themed season , the horror map Alien offers another survival horror and is equipped with a setting that is truly frightening on its own. Code: 4804-2127-0019 Interested in gameplay similar to that of the SCP and Amnesia series? Well, Escape the Serial Killer by Rquinze4 is definitely a proper choice. Though this map is only in its “Chapter 1” phase, it does show a lot of promise as a horror map, while also not fully frightening the pants off players that wish to try it out. Code: 4112-4328-3866 One of the more methodically made maps coupled with jump scares is The Story of Oliver Whitlock by Subcloning. This map takes players through a dystopian horror story where players need to complete some Legend of Zelda-esque puzzles using the items given to them – a very well-made horror map indeed. Code: 3896-7727-6824 Another map by Subcloning, this one is a well-thought-of and flushed-out horror map that will take nearly two hours to complete on the first playthrough. The game truly understands the limitations that Fortnite has and though it can be linear, the story that Subcloning provided for this map is masterful and has a proper nod to that of Silent Hill. Code: 6999-4525-4637 Rejoice, Rainbow Six Siege players. Silent vaulting has been fixed in Patch Y6S2.1 , which is deploying today across all platforms. The patch is also bringing fixes to Newcomer and Quick Match playlist timers, losses of mouse functionality, a fix for players experiencing randomness when enabling mouse RAW input, and more. While the patch doesn’t bring any true balance changes, several fixes to key complaints are welcome. Over the weekend, former G2 player Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen found that bugs that created silent C4s and silent grenades were reproducible. Sound is everything in Siege. Every action makes a sound, no matter how small. Some three-speed operators can essentially silently move while crouched. But the second they switch their leans or aim down their sights, they make noise. C4s and grenades make a very distinct sound when prepped, giving the players they’re being used against some way to escape or otherwise know they’re in danger. Silent vaulting fell into this category as well. It’s difficult to be prepared for someone you don’t know is coming. Any fixes or changes to these mechanics will be welcomed with open arms by Siege players. Other fixes include navigation issues on the recently reworked Favela map, a bug where Thunderbird’s Kona Station marker was visible to attackers, and various other quality-of-life issues. PlatoAi. A potential bomb in Magic: The Gathering was revealed this morning by Team Liquid Stephen “Crokeyz” Croke during the first official day of Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms spoilers. Scheduled to release digitally on July 8,  Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms (AFR) spoilers began today with the reveal of Minion of the Mighty. The Kobold is a one-drop Rare with 0/1 stats. Minion of the Mighty doesn’t look like much, but given the right setup, the Kobold can create a lethal attack on turn two, according to Crokeyz. Forgotten Realms review season is underway! I get to show off a new Red rare one drop! Pog It says Dragon on it so it is cool. Thanks Wizards for the preview. #MTGAFR Minion of the Mighty uses Pack Tactics that say “whenever Minion of the Might attacks, if you attacked with creatures with [that have a] total power of six or greater this combat, you may put a dragon creature card from your hand onto the battlefield tapped and attacking.” The Kobold also has the keyword Menace, practically begging players to slap a combat trick onto it to drop a dragon from their hand into play. Known for his creative deck-building skills, Crokeyz combined the combat trick Infuriate with the dragon Terror of Mount Velus from Theros Beyond Death (THB) to create a possible turn-two lethal strike. The lethal turn two play won’t happen every game and both THB cards will leave the Standard format in September with the fall rotation . But there are a total of 281 cards in AFR, with only a small number of them spoiled so far, leaving the door open for other Minion of the Mighty combos to exist. PlatoAi. Web3 Reimagined. Renegades beat ORDER 3-1 today in the ESL Pro League season 14 Oceania playoffs to grab the region’s spot in the upcoming season of the Pro League, which is set to kick off on Aug. 16. The ESL Pro League season 14 Oceania playoffs was a clash between Renegades, the winner of ESEA Premier season 37, and ORDER, a CS:GO team that’s been trying to challenge Renegades’ hegemony in the region and won ESEA Premier season 36. Renegades, however, proved once more why they’re the team to beat in Oceania. The squad led by Joshua “INS” Potter breezed past ORDER on Dust II (16-6), Mirage (16-8), and Inferno (16-8). Their only loss was on Vertigo (16-13), which could have gone their way as well. Jordan “Hatz” Bajic was the star of the series, putting up impressive numbers across the board: 93-59 K/D ratio, 0.94 kills per round, and a 1.42 rating. Even though Renegades were the favorites coming into the series, it must be a relief to the organization since it lost its former in-game leader Christopher “dexter” Nong, an integral part of the roster for years, to mousesports in February. There were doubts as to whether Renegades could remain the best team in Oceania after the 26-year-old left to play in Europe, but it seems like INS is more than capable of leading the squad, at least against regional opposition. Renegades will have no time to rest on their laurels since the team will travel to Germany tomorrow, according to Hatz . The Australians will be one of the 16 CS:GO teams attending the IEM Cologne play-in stage starting on July 6, where eight teams will make it into the main event. Here’s the full team list for ESL Pro League season 14 so far. The remaining seven slots will be decided according to the ESL world rankings . Partnered teams
