Pixologic is the creator of the sculpture and painting software ZBrush, which won the Academy Award. The ZBrush team brings decades of experience in the 3D industry to Maxon, while enabling Maxon to play an important role in the huge, fast-growing gaming industry. ZBrush is used by renowned film studios, game developers, designers, advertising creators and illustrators around the world. Top filmmakers in the industry have used ZBrush for a number of notable films, such as Dune, Star Wars, Avatar, Game of Thrones and many more. Pixologic is a fast-growing and highly profitable company with an operating margin higher than the Nemetschek Group average. Following the successful integration of Redshift and Red Giant, this acquisition is a perfect and logical strategic step that substantially complements Maxon’s product line with expertise in 3D sculpture and painting.
