PicoCELA (ピコセラ) ・戸田建設・古野電気 高層ビルの上階フロアへの無線環境構築を目的とした導波管 (ウェーブガイド) バックホール方式でのシステム実証実験に成功

1.) 実験の背景 戸田建設と古野電気が共同開発した「ウェーブガイドLANシステム™」は、電波を放射するアンテナユニットに建設現場で仮設材として用いられる単管パイプ (導波管) を接続することで、LANケーブルを敷設することなく、建物内に堅牢で快適な無線通信環境を構築する技術です。工事の進捗に合わせて容易に拡張することが可能であることから、携帯端末やIoT 機器を使用する機会が多い工事現場への適用が進められてきました。しかし、その出力には限界があり、超高層ビルの高層階においては、フロア全体に安定した無線通信環境を構築できないという課題がありました。 このような背景のもと、相互の課題を解決すべく、この度、超高層ビル建設現場の高層階でも安定した通信ネットワークを構築できる新たな通信システムを確立させる実証実験の実施に至りました。 2.) 実施内容 この実証実験は、高層ビルの上階フロアへの無線環境構築を目的とし、戸田建設が建設中の16階建てビル内にて行われました。実験では、合計3台のPCWL-0410を⽤い、ビルの1階に設置したPCWL-0410 1台のみLAN配線を⾏い、残りは1台を10階、もう1台を16階に、それぞれ無線接続にて配置しました。さらに、「ウェーブガイドLANシステム™」とピコセラの無線バックホール技術を組み合わせることにより、導波管に多重伝送する方式 (導波管バックホール方式※2) を確立。その結果、16階フロア全域において、10Mbps以上の通信速度を伴う安定した通信環境の構築に成功しました (図2) 。
