Zweeds conglomeraat voegt FocusCura uit Maurik toe aan dochterbedrijf Phoniro

De Zweedse Assa Abloy-groep, onder meer eigenaar van it-bedrijf Phoniro, lijft het Nederlandse zorginnovatiebedrijf FocusCura in. Met de aankoop willen de Zweden de krachten van beide bedrijven bundelen om zo Europees digitaal leider te worden in technologie voor ouderenzorg. FocusCura blijft onder dezelfde naam actief in Nederland en België. Phoniro, dat in Nederland een vestiging heeft in het Gelderse Maurik, is leverancier van Phoniro Care, een geïntegreerde cloudplatform voor oplossingen op het gebied van digitaal sleutelbeheer, tijdregistratie, alarmering en bezoeken op afstand. Pontus Björnsson, ceo van Phoniro, geeft aan dat beide bedrijven de passie voor innovaties en digitale oplossingen binnen de ouderenzorg delen. Het aanbod van complementaire oplossingen en de gecombineerde expertise komt volgens hem ten goede aan bestaande en nieuwe klanten. Daan Dohmen, de oprichter van FocusCura, is sinds de overname officieel geen partij meer bij het bedrijf. Op zijn LinkedIn-pagina geeft hij aan dat hij tussen 2018 en het moment van overname betrokken was als adviseur en aandeelhouder. Nu FocusCura in handen is gekomen van Assa Abloy, is hij ook aandeelhouder-af. ‘Een bewuste keus 'mijn kindje' los te laten om me nog verder te focussen op de snelle groei van aanbieder van zorg-app Luscii en mijn werk in de Raad voor Volksgezondheid en Samenleving’, zo stelt hij in een artikel over de geschiedenis van FocusCura . Assa Abloy is een Zweeds conglomeraat dat onder meer toegangssystemen maakt. In 2018 nam de onderneming Phoniro over, een ict-bedrijf dat zich specifiek richt op alarmsystemen en toegangssystemen in de ouderenzorg. x

With mixed emotions we today announce that Phoniro, one of our first investee companies and our market leader in elderly care technology, is leaving the A&D family for a new home within Assa Abloy. We are sad to say goodbye to a family member, but are happy that Assa Abloy will give Phoniro a strong home to continue its growth journey. We invested in Phoniro in 2012. Phoniro’s founders Johan Hörberg, Magnus Larsson, Magnus Fröberg and their team had a remarkable track record for introducing modern technology to assist large companies and communities with elderly care. We saw that the market was growing, supported by strong underlying trends both in population and in technology. When we invested in Phoniro, the company was already the biggest global player in locks that could be opened with a mobile phone. And it all started with a dating app! We are so grateful for our journey with Phonrio. During our time, the team managed to transform the company from a product company to a services company, selling the unique Phoniro platform as a service to large care institutions. We also managed to strengthen the board of the company with a few select industrialists, notably Ilija Batljan, founder of Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget, and Josefin Landgård, co-founder of Kry.
