June 14, 2023 New open plan social space for the ever-growing team. When global sports data technology firm Paradine doubled in size and secured their new Leeds headquarters at One Sovereign Quay, they were faced with a challenge. How could they merge two floors into one and create an impressive space that catered to their specific business needs? Enter Design Tonic. The award-winning commercial interior experts were also tasked with ensuring that the all-new Paradine headquarters pushed boundaries and had a strong focus on wellbeing. The result is one of the most striking office spaces in the city. Design Tonic began by merging the two floors together seamlessly by cutting a giant hole between them to create a tiered presentation area. The cleverly designed tech-ready meeting rooms are spacious and able to accommodate a variety of meetings and collab sessions, each one kitted out with enhanced video conferencing equipment, bespoke stat displays, and major sporting event and news on loop. Employees can also unwind in the games and breakout area which features a poker room, pool, darts and a peloton spin studio. Hidden zen rooms offer those looking to recharge vital contemplation space and the ability to set the perfect mood in the room, whether they’re looking to grab a power nap or five minutes of peace and quiet. The design incorporates Paradine’s distinctive branding throughout with large graphics and upholstery colours and takes full advantage of the beautiful river views with access to a wraparound balcony. The project came about when Paradine’s team grew over 50%, upsizing from 30 staff to 70. The Yorkshire-based software company has made waves in the global sports world and is made up of some of the industry’s best data scientists, software engineers and domain experts.
