    Oviva helps patients achieve remission from Type 2 Diabetes and Prediabetes by changing their lifestyle and behaviors. Lifestyle therapy as provided by Oviva is mandated by clinical guidelines as the first approach to help patients worldwide.

Quelle: Oviva 03.09.2021 sw Das digitale Gesundheitsunternehmen Oviva, das Beratung für Menschen mit ernährungsbedingten Gesundheitsproblemen anbietet, hat in einer Finanzierungsrunde rund 68 Millionen Euro eingeworben. Die Finanzierungsrunde wurde von Sofina und Temasek gemeinsam geführt. Zudem beteiligten sich die bestehenden Investoren AlbionVC, Earlybird, Eight Roads Ventures, F-Prime Capital, MTIP und mehrere Angel-Investoren. Oviva wurde 2014 gegründet, um Menschen dabei zu unterstützen, Ernährungsgewohnheiten zu verändern und so ihre Gesundheit langfristig zu verbessern sowie ihr Wohlbefinden zu steigern. Hierfür kombiniert Oviva personalisierte Ernährungsberatung mit einer intuitiven App. Das Scaleup stellt ausschließlich zertifizierte Ernährungsberaterinnen ein, wodurch die Kostenübernahme durch Gesundheitssysteme und Krankenkassen sichergestellt wird. Bis heute hat das Unternehmen mehr als 200.000 Menschen mit ernährungsbedingten Problemen geholfen, über 5.000 Partnerschaften mit Gesundheitssystemen, Versicherungen und Ärzten geschlossen und ist in ganz Europa tätig – unter anderem in Großbritannien, Deutschland, der Schweiz und Frankreich. Mit dieser neuen Finanzierungsrunde erhöht sich die Gesamtsumme des gesammelten Investments des Unternehmens auf $115 Millionen. Die Runde folgt auf ein Jahr, in dem Oviva sowohl die Zahl der behandelten Patienten als auch den Umsatz mehr als verdoppelt hat. Position im europäischen Markt festigen Allein in Europa leben über 300 Millionen Menschen mit gesundheitlichen Problemen, die entweder durch Ernährung ausgelöst werden oder durch eine personalisierte Ernährungsumstellung optimiert werden können. Nur einem Bruchteil dieser 300 Millionen Menschen wird eine digitale Betreuung angeboten. Oviva hat bisher 200.000 Menschen behandelt und wird die neueste Finanzierungsrunde nutzen, um ihre Position als europäische Marktführerin zu festigen.Unter anderem soll die Technologie skaliert und das Team bis Ende 2022 auf 800 Mitarbeitende ausgebaut werden. "Der personelle Wachstum wird in den nächsten Monaten in allen Funktionen im Mittelpunkt stehen", erklärt Kai Eberhardt, CEO und Mitgründer von Oviva. "Einerseits wollen wir bestehende Mitarbeitende befähigen, mehr Verantwortung zu übernehmen. Andererseits sind wir auf der Suche nach neuen Talenten, die uns auf unserem Weg begleiten, unseren bestehenden und vielen weiteren Patienten zu mehr Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden zu verhelfen." Darüber hinaus wird der Betrag aus dieser jüngsten Finanzierung in die Förderung der Präsenz von Oviva in bestehenden und neuen Märkten sowie in die Prüfung potenzieller Akquisitionsmöglichkeiten für das weitere Wachstum des Unternehmens fließen. Harold Boël, CEO von Sofina, sagt: "Wir sehen großes Potenzial in Oviva. Ihre Lösung ist ein Beispiel dafür, wie wichtige gesundheitliche und gesellschaftliche Probleme wie Diabetes durch den Einsatz digitaler Lösungen angegangen werden können – ein Thema, von dem unser Healthcare-Team sehr überzeugt ist.
