Developer of implant systems for spine and orthopedic applications using micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS) and wireless technology. The use of implantable MEMS sensors to measure intervertebral disc loads is currently under development for the assessment of low back pain. Its assessment of intervertebral disc loads enable a 'functional' evaluation of the disc and motion segment in real time. The sensors are designed to assist clinicians in localizing the source of pain and optimizing treatment. Ongoing research and development is focused on sensor integration with motion preservation and other spine fusion and orthopedic devices.
