Orion Edutech launches skill loan facilitation scheme The author has posted comments on this article Aparna Desikan , TNN | Oct 26, 2015, 07.18PM IST ApnaCircle CHENNAI: Orion Edutech , a skill development company, on Monday launched 'Vidyarthi Scheme', a skill loan facilitation scheme, in association with six nationalised banks -- Central Bank, Canara Bank, Bank of India, UCO Bank, Allahabad Bank, Milaap -- and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs). As part of the scheme, all its students will be eligible to avail loans for the relevant skill development courses in adherence to the fee structure and peripheral costs. Orion Edutech's students being enrolled for the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)-approved courses aligned with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) are eligible to avail of skill loans under the scheme. There are no restrictions with regard to the age of the student. However, if the student is a minor, while the parent executes documents for the loan, the bank will obtain a letter of acceptance / ratification from her/him upon attaining majority. Loans under the scheme will be in the range of Rs 5,000 to Rs 1,50,000. No collateral or third party guarantee is required.
