May 17, 2016 13:08 ET Orchestro Launches NextCast™ for Retailers and Consumer Goods Companies to Optimize Demand Foresight Company has Also Been Recognized as a "Cool Vendor" by Gartner BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwired - May 17, 2016) - Orchestro Inc., the market leader in demand analytics and data orchestration, today announced the latest release of its Tango™ demand signal management platform, including the launch of its highly anticipated NextCast™ algorithm to minimize forecast error. In addition, the company was recognized in Gartner's Cool Vendors in Supply Chain Technologies, 2016 Report . As retailers and consumer goods companies have continued to struggle to seamlessly integrate and harmonize demand signals such as point-of-sale data, internal shipments, and syndicated data, downstream business applications have suffered exponentially. Orchestro's latest Tango™ release brings to market new applications and utilities to help these companies more efficiently manage the data harmonization process, extend the use cases of the harmonized data throughout the enterprise, and drive higher accuracy in sales and operations planning activities. New innovations that have now been integrated into the Tango™ platform include: NextCast™ - provides a low-error forecast that can be reliably used to plan for demand. Companies now have a tool that allows them to determine which of several forecasts, either internally developed or sourced externally, to use for a particular item-store-week. Tests of NextCast™ have shown forecast accuracy improvements up to 74%, addressing the long-standing industry challenge of forecast errors ranging from 20-50%. Conductor API - extends the usability of harmonized data. Customers can now seamlessly pull data from Orchestro's Harmonizer cloud-based demand signal repository, and feed internal systems requiring the use of clean data such as ERPs, S&OP systems, and demand planning systems. Companies can also use it to feed any 3rdparty visualization tool to enable consistent insights across the organization. Cues - previously part of the Tango™ Science suite of applications, Orchestro has extended the value of its base Tango™ Insights platform to incorporate the alerting capability triggered through user-defined business rules. This allows companies to collaborate around exceptions and minimize service-level disruptions in-store. User Interface Upgrade - incorporating feedback from its customers, the company has upgraded the platform's usability in critical areas such as user management, insight configuration, and platform auditing. These enhancements allow both administrators and power users to more efficiently leverage the platform. Accelerated Insights Processing - enhanced data compression and aggregation methodologies are driving up to 17x improvements in reporting and insights delivery speed, as well as 52x efficiencies in identifying actionable items within the Tango™ Science on-shelf availability solution. Advanced Security Features - extensions to its multi-layer security protocols including intrusion detection, authentication, vulnerability assessments and identity management. In addition to this latest product release, Orchestro is proud to have been named in Gartner's Cool Vendors in Supply Chain Technologies, 2016 .
