Nexamp appoints Eisenstein to Board January 12, 2012 By Angela Sormani Nexamp, an independent solar power producer headquartered in New England, has appointed Jim Eisenstein to its board of directors. Eisenstein is the current chairman and CEO of Grupo TorreSur, a mobile tower operator in Brazil. He is the former chairman and CEO of Optasite, which he grew from a start-up into the second largest privately held tower company in the United States. PRESS RELEASE Nexamp, Inc. announced today the election of Jim Eisenstein to its Board of Directors. Eisenstein will bring more than 20 years of experience in the development, operation and ownership of wireless and broadcast assets to Nexamp, the largest independent solar power producer headquartered in New England. “Nexamp has established itself as a highly respected brand in the solar industry,” said Eisenstein in a statement. “I am excited to join such a capable team and welcome the opportunity to help guide Nexamp’s growth efforts.” Mr. Eisenstein is the current Chairman and CEO of Grupo TorreSur, a mobile tower operator in Brazil. He is the former Chairman and CEO of Optasite, Inc., which he grew from a start-up into the second largest privately held tower company in the United States. Optasite was sold in 2008 in a transaction valued at over $430 million. He was the Co-founder and Chief Development Officer of American Tower Corporation, the largest owner and operator of wireless and broadcast towers in North America. Jim has also held executive leadership roles at several wireless and broadcast communications firms, including Concourse Communications Group, LLC, a leading developer and operator of distributed antenna systems for some of the nation’s largest transportation venues. He has been responsible for raising more than $3 billion in capital for infrastructure projects over his career. “Jim is a well-established leader in the telecommunications industry,” said John Malloy, President and CEO of Nexamp. “The depth of applicable knowledge he brings to our solar asset develop, build, own and operate business model will play an integral part in our growth strategy moving forward. ” A graduate of Georgetown University, Mr. Eisenstein holds an MBA degree from Wharton and a JD degree from The University of Pennsylvania Law School. He will join Zaid Ashai, Point Judith Capital General Partner and Nexamp Chairman, and Director Henri-Claude Bailly on the Company’s Board.
