Zing Bars Enacts Changes to Executive Leadership, Rebrands and Expands Sales & Marketing

Apr 1, 2022

(DBA Zing Bars), an innovative manufacturer and marketer of 100% plant-based snack bars formulated by professional nutritionists, recently enacted positive changes within its organization. The company announced that its Co-Founder & CEO, David Ingalls, will now be wholly focused on R&D as the team’s first Chief Innovation Officer. Ingalls earned his Masters of Science in Nutritional Biochemistry from Bastyr University in 2004, and has been formulating Zing bars and leading the brand since 2008. David notes, “Nutrition and Innovation are my passion, and it has been a challenge to prioritize them while running the company. With these organizational changes, I’m excited to focus on what will define and differentiate Zing in the years to come.” Grace Erickson, the team’s current CMO, will continue to lead Marketing as she humbly takes the reins moving forward as CEO. In addition to holding an MBA from the Berkeley-Columbia Executive Program, Erickson has 18 years of wide-ranging experience in the chocolate, candy and snack industry, most recently as GM of OCHO Candy, Inc. Erickson has a proven track-record of strategically developing, launching and revitalizing consumer products and brands. Her deep background and familiarity with brand-building will inform the next stage of the fun-loving, wholesome, nutritious Zing brand. Grace notes, “This is such an exciting time for Zing, and I am honored to take on this role so that David and the company can focus heavily on its innovation pipeline. There is so much appetite for what we as a company are passionate about, which really energizes us as a team. We are wellness-minded and we make products that nourish the whole family. Mindfulness is not just in our company name [Mindful Nourishment, LLC. ], it is an integral, architectural component for how we approach the marketplace.” In addition to its changes in Executive Leadership, Zing recently brought on key new hires with decades of combined experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Marketing, Sales and Customer Service. Brenda Lubragge, Michelle Voss and Kelly Finkbohner joined the Marketing team; Nicole Bethmann came on board as National Director of Sales (teaming up with long-time Zing Sales Manager, Stacey Fujimura), and Julie Sinclair made the move from Zing’s parent company, American Licorice, LLC., to head up Customer Service for the brand. This small, yet fierce, female-driven team has galvanized a complete rebrand and re-launch for the 2022 year. Zing prides itself on offering nourishing wellness bars for mindful noshers. In the saturated snacks category, the brand stands apart with its newly reformulated, completely vegan line-up of products –including both kids and lifestyle-accommodating keto products to boot. Unlike many in the category, Zing Bars provide healthy fats, good-for-you carbs, and low-glycemic sweeteners. Kids love Zing minis and mindful mamas appreciate nourishing snacks that leave children with satiated hunger, sustained energy, and adequate protein and fiber. About Zing Bars: Zing recipes maximize taste-appeal while providing the ideal benefits of improved energy and digestive health. Artificiality has no place in a balanced, wholesome, macro-focused approach to snacking. Each product in the Zing line-up is formulated by Professional Nutritionists and includes nourishing ingredients for mindful noshers and nature-attuned children. For More Information:
