Endava catches Nickelfish It’s great to hear about a UK-headquartered tech company acquiring in the US, for a change. And that’s exactly the story for London-HQ’d ‘nearshore’ IT services firm, Endava, which has made its first transatlantic acquisition, that of New Jersey-based user experience (UX) and interactive design firm, Nicklefish. Financials were not disclosed but Nicklefish is profitable and has some 45 employees. This is a smart move by Endava CEO John Cotterell, as Nickelfish will provide the UX design skills for which he previously had to rely on partners to provide at his US clients. The follow-on application development, testing and maintenance can then be handed over to Endava’s Eastern European workforce. Cotterell expects Nickelfish will help their US revenues reach some 20% of the total (FY14: £64m – see here ). Endava recently boosted its US client base with the acquisition of Belgrade-based PSTech (see Endava endeavours to build in Belgrade ). And Cotterell assures me there will be more to come!
