Two more companies graduate from Life Science Network

Feb 8, 2018

Life Science Tennessee (LifeSciTN) announced this week the latest two graduates of the mentor program that it administers in partnership with Launch Tennessee . One of those companies – Frontier Diagnostics – completed the final steps on Monday night ahead of LifeSciTN’s annual “Day on the Hill” Tuesday in Nashville. The other recent graduate is NeuroDyne. “We’re thrilled to see the pioneering entrepreneurs from Frontier Diagnostics and NeuroDyne graduate from our network and hone the skills they need to seek private investment,” said Jim Monsor, head of the Life Science Network . “The purpose of the network is to help life science start-ups build the best and strongest pitch to investors. Both Frontier Diagnostics and Neurodyne have refined their presentations and business plans over the course of the program and are excellent examples of emerging companies ready to take their technologies to market.” Monday night’s final panel for Frontier Diagnostics was hosted by the Waller law firm. First launched in 2015 by LifeSciTN and Launch Tennessee, the Network is focused on developing quality start-ups and positioning them to raise capital and scale their businesses. With Monday’s graduation, a total of four start-ups have completed the process, and four other companies are in active stages of mentoring. Frontier Diagnostics developed a proprietary technology platform, called imaging mass spectrometry that combines the spatial information of microscopy with the benefits of molecular testing to bring a much-needed capability to anatomic pathology. NeuroDyne has developed SeizureSenz, an ambulatory seizure monitoring device that will enable doctors to monitor their patients’ seizure activity from the latter’s homes. The Life Science Network has also spawned a similar program – the Energy Mentor Network – that the Tennessee Advanced Energy Business Council administers with support from Launch Tennessee.
