According to retailerthe “Black November” accompaniment was a success and sold pairs of sneakers equivalent to the audience of 25 concerts. In total, more than 1 million pairs of shoes were sold until Black Friday (24). The model was the Adidas Breaknet, developed by the Netshoes product team in partnership with the brand, sold for R$199 during the promotion. According to the company, it was in the top 3 best-selling products. The model had a discount of R$100 and the purchase price could be paid in installments. Regarding clothing, caps were the highlight, with more than 30 thousand pieces sold, especially from the Lacoste brand. “This behavior showed us that Black November and Black Friday are events in which the consumer search for relevant products and brands, using the discounts offered during the period to make wishes come true” says Rafael Montalvão, marketing director at Netshoes. The company also highlights that the Netshoes app was the most downloaded in the Fashion and Sports segment, both on the Apple Store and Google Play. CONTINUES AFTER ADVERTISING Black Friday 2023 numbers According to data from Confi.Neotrust, in partnership with ClearSale, between Thursday (23) and Saturday (25) there were R$4.5 billion in sales. This is 14.4% less when compared to the same period last year. Revenue was affected by the drop in order volume in the period (-15.5% y/y). The slight increase in the average ticket (-1.3% y/y) was unable to compensate for the lower number of purchases. In this sense, Rafael Passos, an analyst at Ajax Asset, assessed that Black Friday 2023 was the second worst in the history of the event, which has been taking place since 2010 in Brazil.
