Hengeler Mueller advises netgo group on the transaction. Netgo Group has announced the acquisition of arxes-tolina GmbH, a provider of solutions and services in the business segments IT, software and consulting with a total of 320 employees at seven locations in Germany, founded in 2002. The transaction marks netgo’s sixth acquisition since Waterland Private Equity’s investment in the company. Previously, netgo group had already broadened its IT services portfolio for SMEs with the acquisitions of cloud provider ComNet, business software specialist MEHRWERK, network and telecommunications experts commehr and workbees as well as SME IT services provider CSM MeinSystemhaus. Closing of the transaction is subject to antitrust approvals. The netgo group, which was founded in 2007, has been in the portfolio of the holding company Waterland for the most part since the end of 2019 and has been able to significantly expand its presence in the highly fragmented German market for IT service providers in recent months as part of a targeted buy & build strategy. With a total of six acquisitions since the entry of Waterland – cloud provider ComNet, business software specialist MEHRWERK, network and telecommunications experts commehr and workbees as well as medium-sized IT service provider CSM MeinSystemhaus and now also arxes-tolina – netgo has both its portfolio IT services for medium-sized companies expanded and new customers and market shares gained throughout Germany. The acquisition of arxes-tolina continues this successful strategy by opening up additional customer-oriented complementary locations in southern and eastern Germany and realizing cross-selling potential.
