The officer and cruiser were behind a cone cordon on the work site,Â when another vehicle drove into the cordoned-off area and into the police cruiser. After a short chase, police found the car slowly rolling with the driver’s side door open, and the driver gone. Police found the car had been stolen out of theÂ Newton Free LibraryÂ parking lot on March 1.
