Nixon Peabody represented the NARBHA Institute in the creation of the new TGen One Health Collaborative—an initiative that recognizes the interdependence of people, animals, and plants in both human-built and natural environments. NARBHA (formerly Northern Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority, Inc.) is a nonprofit organization designated by the Arizona Department of Health Services as being responsible for the planning, implementation, funding, monitoring, and administration of publicly funded comprehensive behavioral health services in Northern Arizona. NARBHA will partner with Phoenix, Arizona–based nonprofit TGen North, the Pathogen and Microbiome Division of the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen). TGen is an affiliate of City of Hope. The TGen One Health Collaborative will address today’s health challenges including tracking the cause and source of disease outbreaks, antibiotic resistance, hospital-acquired infections, microbial evolution, pathogen dispersal, and emerging infections.
