HubSpot : Named a Best Company for Diversity, Women, Culture and CEO by Comparably

Comparably is a company culture and benefits review platform, and award standings for this season are determined by employee ratings on between Nov. 26, 2017 and Nov. 26, 2018. Thanks to employees' feedback, we've been recognized in the following categories on Comparably: Employee feedback drives the changes HubSpot makes to our company and culture as we aspire to grow better. That's why employees at every level of the organization, from our C-suite to individual contributors, ask for and receive feedback. And this past year, a lot of that feedback and call for change was about diversity and inclusion at HubSpot . In a recent Medium article , HubSpot President and COO, JD Sherman, shared how and why our leadership team will continue to make diversity, inclusion, and belonging a business priority. This summer, we added a diversity goal in our company-wide MSPOT for the first time ever. (An MSPOT is HubSpot's roadmap for the year, standing for Mission, Strategy, Projects, Omissions, and Tracking.) The annual MSPOT is what we consider our 'report card' that we review as a company quarterly, and our leadership team uses to guide priorities. So, in August, right there with customer growth goals and revenue growth goals, we added a goal to hold us accountable for building a more inclusive and diverse company in 2018. Of being named a Best Company for Diversity by Comparably, Sherman said: 'Our mission at HubSpot is to help millions of organizations grow better. But we'll only be able to do that if we're constantly growing better ourselves as a company. That's where our commitment to creating an inclusive, engaging culture fits squarely into our mission. By making diversity and employee happiness a core business priority, we hope to create a space where our employees are constantly growing personally and professionally. Our mission with diversity programming is to create an inclusive company culture that spans diversity of gender identity, age, ethnicity, nationality, skin color, sexual orientation, language, perspective, socioeconomic status, thought, and more. One core belief we hold is that diversity is everyone's job; not just executives or our diversity program manager's. In that way, we are transparent with employees globally about how they can have an impact on building a more inclusive company , and frequently communicate that through calls to action, employee stories, internal and external events, and more. We also host inclusion-themed workshops for managers across departments globally, as well as recently partnered with Greenhouse recruiting software to take part in their pilot Inclusion program to pull bias out of the candidate and interview experience. Melissa Obleada, HubSpot's Diversity and Inclusion Program Manager, runs the initiatives and activities which educate HubSpotters about D&I, hosting events such as our annual First Gens in Tech , Women Who Lead, the Black Excellence Panel , and leading us in the Boston Pride March each year. Of the award, Melissa said: 'I'm so excited and grateful that we've made Comparably's Diversity list. Looking back over the last two years, we've made incredible strides when it's come to how we are thinking about, talking about, and addressing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Inclusion is a team sport, and we could not be on this list without the engagement and input of HubSpotters around the world.
