Dying Light 2 Mod Support Coming To Consoles

Dec 17, 2022

Dying Light 2 Mod Support Coming To Consoles Earlier today, Techland held a question-and-answer session with fans on the game’s official Discord about Dying Light 2, as well as what is next in store for the future of the game. Official Developer Tools for Dying Light 2 Stay Human has been released, which allows players to make custom maps, as well as provide mod support. In keeping with this spirit, Techland has announced the addition of mod.io partners. Credit @ Techland Support for player-created custom maps comes bundled in a free developer tools DLC and is the first step towards Techland’s plans of adding official mod support to Dying Light 2, including a library of in-game mods across platforms. To build a bit of hype around the new developer’s tools launch, Techland and platform Mod.io announced a “Shape Your City” contest. Starting today, PC players of Dying Light 2 will be able to download new developers’ tools in the form of a free DLC package and then share their creations on the mod.io platform. To mark the arrival of developer tools to play with the zombies, Techland and mod.io put together a $55,000 US dollar prize (around PS44,430) pool for a “Shape Your City” competition, with prize money awarded to ten of the best custom maps entered into the competition, which runs through 20th January. You may well get a future through the maps created by players, thanks to partners who believe Dying Light 2 is amongst Xbox’s best zombie games, and given Techland’s longstanding support of its predecessor, there is a strong chance that it remains on that list. “Techland knows that you loved the developer tools featured in the first Dying Light games, and we are happy to partner with Mod.io to announce that Dying Light 2 Stay Human is now including that amazing feature, too”. Credit @ Techland Official Developer Tools for Dying Light 2 Stay Human have launched Dec. 13 as a free DLC for PC for Steam and Epic Games Store, thanks to a partnership between Techland and mod.io. This free DLC is available for PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, with console support coming soon. Providing is a way of further enabling new content to be developed in these particular games, and keeping it supported so that it can be enjoyed by other players. Thankfully, Techland did not back down in their response, with some confirmed things coming in the form of Dying Light 2 modding tools for the PC version, with the studio also looking into adding PC modding to the console versions. Developer-publisher Techland has never been on hand to provide any updates about this, but with the game set to feature cooperative multiplayer options, the support is therefore widely assumed to have been a given among players.
