MONTREAL, Aug. 27, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Logient, a Montreal-based leader in the development of custom software, is proud to announce the acquisition of Mobilogie, a firm specializing in the development of mobile solutions for businesses. Mobilogie has notably been identified as one of the seven companies to follow in Canada by The Next Web, and won the Boomerang and Numix Awards for its leading expertise in strategy and mobile technologies. This means that all of Mobilogie's engineers, mobile developers, interface designers and analysts are now part of the Logient team. "For a company that is developing an application project, mobility is only one part of the story," said Jean-François Rioux, president and founder of Logient. "The success and sustainability of mobile projects are only possible when companies can rely on a range of services that support their applications, like a solid back-end application, a structured maintenance approach, and flawless user service. The shared values of both companies will enable us to continue making software engineering projects with a new and original look." The acquisition was led by Logient Chief Financial Officer Vincent L. Godcharles, CPA, CA. This acquisition is part of Logient's growth plan and consolidates the turnkey services offering provided by the company since its founding in 1998. Customers who already enjoy Logient services can now access a wider range of knowledgeable and experienced specialists in mobility to propel their business even further. "Our transition to Logient is an invaluable opportunity for both our employees and our customers," added Antoine Azar, president and founder of Mobilogie, and now special advisor at Logient. "With the addition of our expertise, we can now count on the maturity, scale, and wide portfolio of clients of an established company like Logient to develop creative projects of importance." Michael Hasenfratz, Chief Technology Officer at Mobilogie, will become a mainstay of the Logient team as Practice Lead - Mobility. The deal is also advantageous for Mobilogie customers, who will benefit from a trusted technology partner for all their needs regarding the software life cycle, from custom application development to maintenance.
