MISCOR Group through its subsidiaries, provides electrical and mechanical solutions to customers both in the United States and abroad. The company operates in two segments, Industrial Services and Rail Services.The Industrial Services segment provides maintenance and repair services for alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) electric motors and generators, as well as power generating and distribution equipment; manufactures, remanufactures, and repairs industrial lifting magnets; and provides maintenance and repair services for railroad main and auxiliary generators, main alternators, and traction motors. This segment serves steel, railroad, marine, petrochemical, pulp and paper, wind energy, mining, automotive, power generation, scrap yards, and utility industries. The Rail Services Services segment manufactures and remanufactures EMD style power assemblies for the 567, 645 and 710 engine families. The Company also offers EPA emission solutions as well as premium parts to the railroad and marine industries.In September 2013, MISCOR Group was acquired by Integrated Electrical Services. The valuation of MISCOR Group was $24 million. Other terms of the deal were not released.

(or "IES") (Nasdaq: IESC ), a holding company that owns and manages diverse operating subsidiaries comprised of providers of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, today announced that Michael Rice has been appointed President of the MISCOR Group business, which is operated through a wholly owned subsidiary of IES. Mr. Rice was employed by Schneider Electric S.A. from 1999 to 2013, where he served as Senior Vice President, Projects and Services, and led multiple acquisitions in the electrical services industry. Prior to that, Mr. Rice was Manager, Product Development at ABB Ltd. from 1992 to 1999. Most recently, Mr. Rice served as Chief Operating Officer at Myers Power Products, Inc.  James Lindstrom, Chairman and CEO of IES, said, "Mike brings over 20 years of experience in the electrical products, equipment and services space and we are pleased to have him join the IES platform.
