33     eCommerce never stops surprising. Just when you’ve thought we’ve seen enough of new ones, another one crops up with a lot of promise. In an announcement today, MiraiStore.com has launched as a fashion shopping portal that offers a wide variety of fashion products and accessories from across the world. MiraiStore has over 10,000 SKUs at launch and has its own range of accessories already available in the store. It’ll also be launching a private label later this month. MiraiStore.com has exclusive collections from designers like Manoviraj Khosla and Sarita Mandoth and also has collections from other designers including Rahul Mishra, Divya Anand, Krishna Mehta and Priyadarshini Rao. Co-founded by Ram Bhindi, MiraiStore.com has raised angel investment from Prem Kumar M who is the Chairman and Managing Director of Uniworld Logistics, logistics firm that serves over 400 destinations worldwide through 32 offices in 10 countries. Commenting on the launch of MiraiStore.com, Co-founder and CEO Ram Bhamidi said, “We not only have the latest in fashion apparel and accessories, but have also set up state of the art warehouses in Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore to effectively fulfill our customers’ orders.” Ram is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Ahmedabad with over 15 years experience in India and UK predominantly in the internet, e-commerce and new media space. Asha Shridhar and Sankar Bora handle operations along with a strong management team at the helm. Commenting on the investment, Ram said, “The investment will help MiraiStore.com in scaling up its operations and will be used for product development, improving logistics and backend systems; and for marketing. This also provides MiraiStore.com access to Uniworld’s expertise in Supply Chain, Logistics and Warehousing which will help us create a significant differentiation.”
