Samuel Acquires Metal Spinners Holdings - Metal Center News - Solutions for Profitable Distribution

May 30, 2019

Samuel Acquires Metal Spinners Holdings Samuel, Son & Co., Mississauga, Ontario, has acquired Metal Spinners Holdings. The acquisition includes Missouri Metals of St. Louis and Metal Spinners, which operates production facilities in Indiana, Illinois and Texas. The acquisition will aid the company’s push into the aerospace sector, officials say. Missouri Metals is a manufacturer of precision components and assemblies for both the aerospace and power generation industries for its global customers. Metal Spinners supplies metal spinning, hydroforming, deep drawing and other specialized metal formed products for air handling, energy, agriculture and other industrial market segments. Both businesses have a long-standing reputation for providing unmatched quality, reliability and the highest level of customer service, Samuel says. Samuel Manufacturing President Rod Crawford says the move represents a further and important step in Samuel’s growth strategy for the aerospace market. “With this acquisition, Samuel is broadening our metal-forming capabilities, and is positioning both Missouri Metals and Metal Spinners for significant growth by leveraging our extensive customer relationships in key targeted markets, such as aerospace.” Metal Spinners Holdings CEO Olin Wiland will remain as group president for the business, which will operate as a separate group within Samuel’s manufacturing division. “We are recognized as valuable business partners to our customers, including many of the major aerospace and industry leading OEMs around the world. Joining forces with Samuel allows both Metal Spinners and Missouri Metals to leverage Samuel’s commercial organization, culture and sales network for incredible growth opportunities,” Wiland says.
