Tunisian doctor booking platform Med.Tn raises over $650,000 Image courtesy of Med.Tn Tunisian doctor booking platform Med.Tn has raised little over $650,000 (2 million Tunisian Dinars to be precise) in funding from one of country’s leading insurance companies, Carte Groupe. Med.Tn had first announced the round in December last year and closed it last month. Founded by Aymen Turki, Issam Bellaj, and Emna Jellouli in 2017, Med .Tn connects users with different healthcare providers including doctors, pharmacies, and laboratories. The users can browse through profiles of doctors, read their reviews and book appointments with them. They can also search for pharmacies and laboratories by area, and read their reviews as well. Med.Tn also allows users to directly ask health-related questions form any doctor listed on the platform. The startup has its services available in Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Turkey, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, and Senegal, its co-founder Issam Bellaj told MENAbytes in an interview, adding that they currently have 3,000 active doctors on the platform and over 500,000 monthly users (website visitors).
