(photo courtesy of Mediaura) Jeffersonville-based digital marketing agency Mediaura is looking to the West Coast to add to its portfolio. The company has acquired Onyx Design, an e-commerce web developer and design firm headquartered in Los Angeles, though financial terms were not disclosed. Mediaura, which was founded in 2003 in Louisville, says it has worked with Onyx Design as a partner agency for the last two years. Onyx specializes in building and maintaining e-commerce websites that use Shopify and WooCommerce. The company will assume the contracts of Onyx’s portfolio of e-commerce clients throughout the U.S. and Canada. “Mediaura and Onyx have had a great business relationship for years,” Onyx Design founder and CEO Ray Sarno said in written remarks. “From our first meeting, it was apparent that the Mediaura team was exceedingly capable and diligent. I am very excited about Onyx joining Mediaura because this is an amazing growth opportunity for our clients, our team, and both companies.” Mediaura says it will retain Onyx’s employees and clients, which will expand its footprint by 20%. The move brings the company’s total employee county to 22. The company did not specify if the Onxy team will remain in California or relocate to Indiana.
