The legendary first Quake of 1996 was reissued on modern platforms in August, and its return turned out extremely well, as you can read in my review. If you don’t have enough retro shooting yet, you can rejoice, the developers from MachineGames have prepared a shot for you. An update called Update 2 is coming to the game, which brings a number of minor fixes, but most importantly a brand new Horde mode. In it, you can stand alone or in up to four players (you can also play shoes) against the tidal waves of enemies on four maps created especially for this mode. At the end of every third wave, a boss awaits you, whose defeat will bring the group a silver key. For that, you can buy more weapons and equipment to mow a little better in the next phase. In addition to the Horde, Update 2 also includes a new addition called Honey by MachineGames level designer Christian Grawer. In this addition, players can go even deeper into the darkness to overcome the plague that has afflicted the world. Any resemblance to our real situation is, hopefully, purely coincidental.
