National workplace law office Jackson Lewis is adding 15 attorneys formerly with Lowenbaum Law firm, a St. Louis practice whose high-profile clients include the Blues, BJC HealthCare and Ameren. The move will more than double the headcount of Jackson Lewis' existing St. Louis office, adding 15 attorneys and 13 staff members from the Lowenbaum firm to the eight lawyers and four staff members the branch had employed. New York City-based Jackson Lewis representatives said Tuesday that the addition will complement its existing footprint in the St. Louis area. "By adding this team of talented lawyers led by renowned labor attorney R. Michael Lowenbaum, we are solidifying Jackson Lewis’ presence in St. Louis and the surrounding business community," said Jessica Liss, managing principal of the St. Louis office, in a press release announcing the move. Lowenbaum representatives said continuity with clients will be preserved. "We're operating with the same clients," said R. Michael Lowenbaum, co-managing partner of Lowenbaum Law, citing the "national presence" of Jackson Lewis as motivation for the merger. "Business is the same except we now have 59 offices and 800 lawyers." Lowenbaum said the firms are currently mapping out the process of "migrating" into a single office over the next month or two.
