20 Million-Year-Old Nightmare Worm Discovered and It Makes 2020 Look Like a Picnic

Jan 23, 2021

20 Million-Year-Old Nightmare Worm Discovered and It Makes 2020 Look Like a Picnic Scientists have discovered an extinct 20 million year old predator nightmare. This discovery takes us one step closer to the imaginary land of Tatouin Star wars Or in arquis Dune. However, these giant insects actually existed and lived deep in the ocean. They would remain on the seabed in their subterranean domain “until they captured the thoughtless prey with a picture of their powerful jaws.” They would then take their prey, which was still alive, to be consumed in their L-shaped burger. x Ludwig Logmark, a marine geologist at the National Taiwan University in Taipei, led the study which found evidence of ancient worms. Earlier this week, Lomark and his team revealed their findings, noting that they consider it an ancient ancestor of the current-living Bobbit worm, named after the infamous incident in 1993 with John Wayne Bobbitt and Lorraine Bobbitt Was placed. Lovemark and his team believe that their ancient worms terrorized the seafloor 20 million years ago. Marine insects are usually made of soft tissue, which means it is difficult to find fossils, or find any other evidence of their existence. However, Ludwig Logmark and his crew were able to find and study their L-shaped bill. It is believed that these ancient predatory insects were at least 6 feet in length, meaning they could easily carry a human. The following encryption detailed their process, which you can read below. “We studied all the samples that we could find in the area by measuring length, diameter, turret structure, etc. and the selected number of samples were cut using a rock cutter and analyzed in the laboratory. The area was polished using a millstone so that we could study the specimen by removing serial sections or millimeters of rock. “ It took Ludwig Lomark some time to find the complete fossils of these bastions. “In most cases, we can only see a portion of the trace fossil because it is very large,” he said, “but in some lucky examples we found almost the entire specimen.” He believes that the worm, which he named, Penichenus, was as large as the diameter of the burr he found. In Lowmark’s study, he describes how the ancient nightmare worm would attack its prey. He explains. “When the prey comes close to a worm, it leaps out of its burr, takes the prey down and drags it into the sediment. Beneath the seafloor, the desperate prey got to escape, leading the sediment around the bird opening Caused to grow. “ The study by Ludwig Logmark states, “The activities interpreted by the Penichenus trace maker record life and death conflicts between hunters and prey, and indirectly more diverse and stronger paleo than can be interpreted from fossils and trace. -Economics preserves evidence of mechanisms. The fossil record alone. “In other words, it was a massive discovery for scientists. Thanks to Lomark’s findings, the research will dramatically improve the discovery of ancient marine worm fossils. For now, Lomark and his team study the bobbit worm to see if they can find more similarities with their new findings. The interview with Ludwig Logmark was originally conducted by Vice. You can see some footage of the Bobbit worm below. Share this:
