Leo Cancer Care and THERYQ collab to deliver FLASH radiotherapy Leo Cancer Care and THERYQ come together to transform the landscape of radiation therapy by bringing FLASH radiotherapy to the masses. The partnership promises to deliver faster, comfortable, and enhanced care to cancer therapy by combining both companies’ technology and expertise. FLASHDEEP, a FLASH radiotherapy device based on European Council for Nuclear Research (CERN) technology, uses high energy electron (VHEE) radiation to treat cancers that are untreatable with traditional methods. It does this by producing high doses of radiation in a fraction of a second, minimising treatment time and damage to surrounding healthy tissues. The first FLASHDEEP device was installed at  The Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV)  in Lausanne, Switzerland. Now the technology will incorporate Leo Cancer Cares upright patient positioning solution to reduce patient discomfort. It will also be integrated into the device at CHUV. In 2022, RaySearch and Leo Cancer Care partnered up to integrate RayStation’s treatment planning system , with Leo Cancer Care’s upright radiation therapy technology. Share this article
